After the excitement that was Whitby, in all its glorious freakiness, we had another busy day on Sunday. My beautiful little niece Phoebe was having her naming day, like a christening but without the religion. It was a small ceremony in a registry office, with a couple of readings and 'promises' made by parent, supporting adults and grandparents. We had never been to such an occasion before, and it was really lovely, very relaxed and friendly. Afterwards we went to a hotel for lunch and the rest of the afternoon. Lovely day.

Since then I have been shattered lol, clearly 2 full days is too much for me. I had art group on Monday and didn't make it there till after lunch and even then all I did was drink tea!

Not much going on in the way of craft stuff, I have been really busy moving, sorting, deleting, copying photos. I have them in lots of places, and need them all on the external hard drive, in ordered and dated folders...it's a big job, lots don't have dates. many are duplicated in several places, so all have to be looked at and deleted if not needed. I have done around 5G, with another 16G to go. That's just the digital stuff, once done I need to start on all the 'real' photos that are up in the attic, need to scan and store those too.

I ran out of time to come up with an original card, but found a fabby one here and just had to scraplift.

New sock monster, yet to be named, I think he's a bit cute and would love to keep him lol

Socks for Ian, for Easter. I can't tell you about the pattern as I have completely forgotten how I did them, and clearly wasn't organised enough to write the destructions down...shame as I quite like the pattern and want some for myself. I may sit and work out what I did at some point, but probbaly not, life is too short. Oh and note to self, do not wrap Cadburys creme eggs up inside socks. Ian opened them while still in bed, opening the sock up above his head, at which point the eggs fell out and almost concussed him.

New birthday card, hand drawn outlined with letraset fineliner and coloured with promarkers. not happy with the arms and legs, must try harder lol

I need to make a non religious christening/naming card......any ideas?

Howdydoodee!

Had a great weekend, saw lots of family. Pics on facebook.

Instead of a card for my Mum, I made her an exploding box filled with butterflies.it measures 6cmx6cmx12cm, the lid comes off and the butterflies are floating inside. I found this site, the lady here makes some lovely boxes, so i thought i would give it a go.

I also made her 3 gift tags for her pressies.

A couple of months ago I made this flip photo album for a special little friend of mine, i filled it with photos of him and his friends.

last week I decorated this little wooden box, turning it into a mini shrine...not to anything in particular, I don't worship birdhouses lol

Did some more hand drawn greetings cards.
