on Monday just gone I went to play at a friend's house, Me,Gail (efemera-uks) and Jean (nejxr25-uks)started making some hanging mobiles, following Jean's idea with our own touches thrown in. We glued and sticked till about 6pm at which point we started eating and drinking and no more sticking got done.

After I recovered the next day I did some more work on it, and on weds, and on thurs and just finished it today-friday...seemed to be taking FOREVER!

Anyway here it is, basically one of the rings from an embroidery hoop with clear nylon threads hanging off it...and all decorated. Chipboard shapes threaded on the nylon, me and Gail chose heart shapes and Jean did all different shapes.

I used K&Co papers, approx 12 sheets (12x12), though didn't use all of every sheet, but did cut into all the sheets. After buying some new Basic grey birdie stamps, i decided to use birdies and flowers to decorate my hearts. Some birdies are stamped, some hand cut from chipboard and covered and some are bought wooden ones.

Add beads,bling,ribbons and lace...

The pics show it hanging off the curtain pole, as it was the best plain wall to take the photos against, it will eventually hang from the ceiling at the top of the stairs,in front of a small window.

Crikies, I have been procrastinating all week about some Christening cards that I needed to make. I need them for tomorrow(2nd)It is now 11.40pm on the 1st and I just finished them. Talk about mojo leaving the building, I think mine left the solar system. I had no inspiration all week, I do have other stuff on my mind just now, but still you would think I could come up with a couple of cards. I trawled the net looking for ideas, in all my fave places, all my fave blogs...but nothing.

So today they absolutely had to get done, I had even left it too late to go out and buy some lol After 4 hours, a bin full of rejects and a lot of swearing i finally had one done, and then hey presto the other one came together in no time.

They are for 2 little girls, sisters, neither of them a baby. So I wanted to do something a little more girlie/grownup, I also didnt want to make them overly religious, so I just popped a bible inbetween the flowers.
