Hearts R Us

Hello, I am overwhelmed by all the wonderful comments that you left yesterday, both here and over on the PaperArtsy blog..Thankyou all so much.

REMEMBER.. you can still win my heart stamps by leaving a comment on THIS... blog post, you can also win if you go to the PapeArtsy blog post here...

I thought I would show you some more bits that I made with the hearts, tonight i have 3 simple cards and tomorrow I have a tag, so be sure to pop back and see that.

First up a wedding card.

I painted a bit of smooth card with VINTAGE LACE FRESCO PAINT then I  glazed the card using PEARL GLAZE..  .   then stamped my hearts with brilliance ink. I added white highlights with a posca pen.

here are the smaller hearts..

Next I painted more card  with a mix of Very Berry and Eggplant, once dry I added a coat of pearl glaze.

Then I did the same with guacamole, sage and hey pesto, again adding the pearl glaze to the top.

Now to layer up. I added some lines to the square using a credit card and vintage lace. Onto this I added the cut out text hearts. On the side I layered the green card, some ribbon and stick pins.

On the inside I used some left over strips of the card, plus a smaller heart.

close up of the bubble heart.

I have to recommend the pearl glaze, it adds such a wonderful delicate sheen.

Birthday boy..

How hard are boy cards? but this goes to show you can still use the hearts on a male card.

First stamp the cog heart using opaque fresco paint onto black card.

Then stamp the metal heart onto METAL CARD....

I then took a piece of square black card, and doodled some industrial lines with a silver pen.

I masked off the edge and painted it with SKY fresco.

Then I layered up the hearts.. The cog one is glued on flat and the metal one is added on top of foam pads.

I scrunched up some seam binding and coloured it with hey pesto, added it to the card and topped it with my sentiment.

Finished card.. I felt the top left was a little bare, so i masked off and stamped just part of the smallest cog stamp.

Card for a friend.

This would work well for valentines, birthday or just a 'hello' card.  I started with a crackled background, topped with NOUGAT FRESCO I think this is my absolute fave fresco for stamping feature images onto.

I then layered this onto a piece of patterned paper. Not just any patterned paper.

When i made the gelli plate doilies back in July, this paper was the 'scratch' paper. That is a piece of paper that you have handy for wiping your brush onto, taking off excess stencil paint onto, and cleaning gelli plates with lol It is well covered and has many layers, but really is just a piece of 'clean up ' paper..

waste not want not, even scrap paper can be used for pretty things!

I added a piece of green card, again painted with fresco.

now layer it all up..add a small sentiment..

don't forget little touches like doodling a border..

I hope that has given you some more ideas on how to use my stamps. I will be back tomorrow.

I can't decide whether the steampunk gear heart or the zipper heart is my favorite, so there's an easy solution -- I'll have to get both!
