Day After Donny

Hi everyone, today is a day of not doing much at all, definitely no walking, an actually not much standing up. My poor lil feet ache lol..

Yesterday was the Stamping and papercraft show at the Doncaster Dome, the show opens about 9.45am.. however our day started considerably earlier.

The alarm went off at 4.45 am..yes really lol Everytime I say that I can't quite believe it. We were all up,showered and out of the hotel by 5.30am and in the Dome and unpacking by 5.45am.

Here is Gillian building up racks of stamps.

and the lovely Emma stocking the bookcase.

Mark adding the artwork at the back of the stand.

Finally we were done and look how fab it is..

It was just after 8.30am, and we finally sat down.. this is the breakfast club..

Shortly after this, the doors opened and all you lovely people came to see us. First up was Linda who brought lovely cakes. Then Hazel, Lesley, Sam,Emma, Jules, Ruth and so many other #patwits came to say hello and watch the demos. (apologies to anyone I have forgotten)

Sam did a great blog post with lots of photos too, you can see it HERE..

She also brought us gifts, totally gorgeous notelets and handmade envelopes..

and a little book..

all in this envelope box..just gorgeous, thank you Sam.

and here are me and Sam..

Throughout the day I made a few pieces, and demoed various techniques. Here are some of the finished ones..

I started with bookmarks..

Then I did some tags on my homemade gelli plate

and finished with these two pieces..

Then it was packing up time, it always amazes me just how quick everything disappears..

We packed the van, in a torrential downpour. Gillian went off to catch a train to Scotland, Mark and Emma set off back down South and I set off up North.

It was a fabulous day, thanks to everyone that came along and made it so great.
