Hello blogland, it's Wednesday again, gosh doesn't it come around quick! I seem to have been busy every day, see the cover I made for my cricut in the previous post.

Firstly let me share a photo with you of my son,he is just finishing up his Masters degree in Archaeology. Here he is talking to the BBC at Nevern Castle in South West Wales back in April, apparently he was explaining to them that he was exposing the inner face of a tower wall!

On Friday I took my new bag(the red and black one from a previous post) out for afternoon tea. Schlepping up to the village with it just didn't seem good enough for such a pretty bag, so we went out to Bettys and had tea and crumpets.

I think my bag enjoyed the outing, I certainly did.

Next a pic of my desk, now this isn't today, this is from Sunday. I was making a mini book, just as well that it was mini as I had effectively reduced my workspace down to the size of a postage stamp lol

This is the book and tin to keep it in, filled with photos from my son's 21st birthday last year.

I used BG Boxer papers and chipboard, with a tin from the £1 shop.

Bound using the BIA, I have recently seen demo videos of the Cinch Binder, oooo I do like the look of it.

the photos are from when we went out for a Indian meal. He didn't want a party, instead he went off on holiday with his friends, so we paid for that instead.

I have also made a couple of cards in the past couple of days, this one is using an outline printed and coloured in with promarkers and prisma pencils. I got the flower outline from HERE.

This one is for my niece.

Finally this is a shot of my desk right now, the pegs are leftover from a project i just finished, I can't show you yet as its for a birthday and she might see it here. The matchboxes and reels just might possibly get made into something for WOYWW 52, if I have time. They are sitting there right now taunting me to get on with it lol

thanks for visiting, have a great day.

  7. Congratulations to your son. It's always good when someone has a field he/she enjoys.

Here it is 3 in the morning in Kansas (US). I would never think to eat this late, but you have made me hungry with those incredible looking pastries. Your book is gorgeous. I love how some of the pages flip and fold out. Really nice.

Thanks for the comment about your blank rubber stamps. Sounds like you don't get a very good impression, either. Maybe I was expecting too much. Happy WOYWW.

  20. But which Bettys was it-Ilkley or Harrogate. Love 'em both. You can keep all the American coffee shops. Bettys does it for me. I'm ashamed how lazy I am when I see everything you've made. Hmmm matchboxes and reels. What on earth. Now you've shown us you'd better make it. Hugs BettyXXX

  44. So enjoyed the post ...a litttle of everything... your desk is nice and busy ... I do hope you find time to do your wk52 thingy as it looks VERY interesting.
Your cards are brilliant and that 'mini book in tin' is a perfect memory....I love 'boxer'too.
Your 'Tea' at Betty's, brought back memories of the early '50's when Mum would take me out for tea as a treat. A stand like that would be filled with cakes and we ate what we wanted ... then Mum paid for those we had devoured.

  45. Hi, All...I read these comments and grimmace a bit, Darcy really should not be encouraged to do all these weird & wonderful things, because we spend all our social outings picking up all i can desribe as bumphff! from where ever we see it, i get reprimanded for discarding receipts or tickets & told off for scrumping up paper bags!Any freebees such as flyers or leaflets are instantly collected from every shop and her minds then triggered into..''oooh ahhhh hmmmmm..do this or that with this & that for him or her...'' Returning to home is a must and instantly off to her Craft Room , before her mind goes wandering around the internet, and everythings forgotten.
After all ive just said, i should thank you all really, cos im left to watch Football in peace...i just feed her at regular intervals inbetween cups of tea & cakes...
    So carry on everyone..PRaise away..:-)

Anyway, secondly - you DO NOT LOOK OLD ENOUGH to have a 21 year old son...
