A while ago I went to a workshop for the day, we made these panels which could be turned into cushions. during the day we constructed the main pieces, but there was lots of twiddly folding back and hand stitching to do once home.
anyhoo, I got mine done and was talking to my friend Ms.Effie and she said she didn't want her panel as she probably wouldn't do anything with it. So she passed it along to me so that i would have a pair.
This is how it looked when she gave it to me.
and here it is with all the flaps and edges folded back, twisted, curved etc and all hand stitched in place.

ReplyDeleteMy sister did something similar to this when my middle daughter was born but as a pram blanket. It's gorgeous in your pictures but up close it's amazing, you must have such patience.
