Week 21 - England..

ahh so nice to come home..

BUT, so much to choose from. I ended up doing a collage of drawings and ephemera, from around the country.

This is my page. In the background the flag of St. George, a castle, some old stamps, an advert for the National Gallery, a label from some Newcastle brown Ale, an iconic red telephone box and good old Shakespeare.

My card is from up here in the north of the country...

It stands upon a hill .

It is a steel sculpture of an angel, 20 metres (66ft) tall, with wings measuring 54 metres(177ft) across. The wings do not stand straight out, but are angled 3.5 degrees forward. This was done to create 'a sense of embrace'

Here you can see a slideshow of how the angel was made..

Here is the back of my card..

HERE IS WHERE YOU LINK UP... add your name and blog link then go visiting..

  15. The only thing that came to my mind was a souvenir doll of the royal guard that my parents brought home from their trip to England. :) You of course had a harder time choosing what to pick.:) Love your postcard!
