DLP week 1 and 2

Here is a step by step of my week 1 and 2 of Documented Life project.
I couldn't decide on what to do for week 1, so I dived in at week 2. You already saw the selfie sketch that I did.
I then dry brushed some Fresco Chalk acrylic paint around the sketch.  As you can see I also added the paint to the previous page in preparation for going back to the week 1 prompt.
A little more paint to darken,
and then a little blue added to make the sketch stand out. Some stamping, and some text.
So now back to the week one prompt, I started with a sketch. This is not my door, my door is plain and boring. so I thought of what kind of door I would love to have.
I started to colour this using watercolours.
Adding more colour, and shading.
and a little more...
More watercolour added.
next I switched to coloured pencils.
and the final shading..
I glued this into the journal..
and added a little stamping at the top.
Here are the first 2 weeks together, all finished.
As you can see there is a clear pocket between them, there is a tag to go in there. As yet I haven't decorated that, still waiting for inspiration to strike.
Hope you are having fun with your journals.
