circle journal

It's that time again, this month I was making a page for Lea, she loves pink, flowers and embellishments...so it just had to be fluffy flamingos.

I started by cutting a heart from book pages, this was cut in half and backed onto card. I drew the flamingos onto the book print.

I then coloured them in using prisma pencils, with shimmerz paint on the background.

I added texture paste and paint to the backs.

Then I added some fluff to the flamingos with marabu feathers in pale pink, dark pink and white..

Next I worked on the page, painting, spraying, stencilling, adding polyfilla thru stencils and more painting, plus some bejewelling...

doodling and bejewelling..

I printed out a flamingo poem and cut it into strips before sticking them onto the page..

Finally i embossed the edges of the flamingo heart and stuck it into the book using tabs at the sides..

Voila! all finished...

when the book closes the heart meets...
