here we are week 10..how did you all get on this week? I am guessing last week was a bit tough, we had less cards linked up last week than any other. I am hoping Canada inspired you all a bit more.
I admit, I was really stuck, even though there are any things to choose from about Canada, I just couldn't settle on anything. Then I found the art of Jon Todd, and I loved it. See his images ON GOOGLE IMAGES
So I kind of recreated one of his images, not easy to do small scale. I think his must look really good full size.
Here is my card..
I used acrylics, neos, scrapping paper and rub ons.
For the page I cut out a large maple leaf and painted it red, adding the names of Canadian territories and the capitals in white. I stuck that down and framed it with small punched out maple leaves.
here is the card on the page..
and finally the back of the card... Ren is still missing, so this week sees another card from Charlie...
THIS IS WHERE YOU LINK UP...
add your name and blog link and then visit each other. have a great week. See you on Monday for another country.

ReplyDeleteWe have caught up and have posted Switzerland and Canada. Darcy I love your card and will have to google Todd and check him out! Pore "Charley" took ill and that's what I'm blaming my tardiness on! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
ReplyDeleteWith regards to the number of participants in Cuba, I find I have more time on the weekend to squeeze my art into than I find time for during the week. I don't know what your thoughts are, but would it be possible to post the next country on Friday when we are posting our cards? The extra two days would be crazy helpful for me! Regardless, we are loving the journey! Travel on!
Egads, i was asleep when i typed that... it would be POOR Charley...not Pore! Lol!
