Spooksville...

It is almost that time of year again, when the ghouls and ghosties come out to play. often it is a mad rush, 2 days before to buy sweets, make candy bags, find costumes. why not get a head start this year and make these. quick and easy cards and candy bags, early.

You will need some monstrous images.  Jay over at Moonlight Creations has designed some cute monsters that you can print out and colour in.

I used Letraset promarker Autumn/Winter Ltd Edition Colours

Colour them just like you would anything else, don't forget to add your shadows and highlights, even monsters deserve attention to detail.

these colours are so yummy...plenty of variety.. You get 12 colours plus the blender pen in this set.

Here are some more finished monsters..

I took a piece of smooth card, and coloured it using Letraset inks.. I then added 2 borders around  the edge, a thick and a thin one, using my black promarker and a Letraset FINELINER... Then I drew in some bats as my background.

next I printed out my sentiment on SAFMAT.. if you have never tried this stuff, you really must. it is fabulous for adding greetings.

I cut out the sentiment and attached it to the card, and then added one of the monsters.

for my next card I started with a piece of card that I ran through an embossing folding, and then painted.

I added more texture and paint and treasure gold, then I attached a couple of the monsters.

Now for candy bags. i took a simple DL sized brown envelope,(glued closed) measure it against the bar of chocolate, and then trimmed off the ends with fancy scissors.

I matted some painted corrugated card onto black card, and finally added the coloured in monster bat.

This 'topper' was added to the candy wrap..

I took another brown envelope, again glued shut. this time I folded in the edges and bottom to make a 'gusset' punched a hole in the top and voila you have a bag. I swiped some paint onto the bag and then attached the coloured in spooky house.

It may look like a skinny envelope, but it is surprising just how many sweeties will fit inside. I put 15 of these sweets into my envelope/bag.

There are more than enough sweets here to give as gifts..

if you are having a party, why not make invitation cards. Whatever you are doing at the end of the month have a spooktacular time..

I have a set of these Autumn/Winter Ltd Edition pens to give away. To be in with a chance of winning please do TWO things for me.
